Hello fellow Rotarians. I am happy to have joined the Club recently. I have lived in San Leandro for 23 years. I enjoy the small-town feel, the location within the Bay Area, and the cool weather. I became involved in the community when I enrolled in Leadership San Leandro in 2017. This is a professional development course offered by the Chamber of Commerce. After completing the class, I served as the Program Coordinator for the past several years. It is through this program that I learned much about San Leandro and met representatives from local government, businesses, and non-profits.

I recently retired from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Prior to joining the Commission, I worked on the trading floor of the Pacific Stock Exchange for 30 years. I joined Rotary to meet new people, stay connected with the community, and volunteer for public service projects. My hobbies include painting/drawing, yoga, endless home improvement projects, local walks, sudoku, and Wordle.

I am one of five children in a close family. I don’t have children but have a very large extended family. My brother hosts all 50 of us for Christmas every year! I have a cat named Buster. He won’t eat unless I bend over and pet him while he’s at his bowl. Cats.
